Date for 2024 Ghana Teachers Licensure Examination

Find in this article the 2023 teacher licensure resit examination date and fees for qualified teachers who are ready to write.

The management of the National Teaching Council has announced to conduct of the 2023 Teacher Licensure Resit Examination in November 2023.

2023 Teacher Licensure Examination Eligibility

All Prospective candidates who hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) are eligible to apply for November 2023 GTLE as fresh candidates and resit candidates.

The candidates are to apply online at exams.ntc.gov.gh and complete the application form for the licensure examination.

All the above-mentioned candidates who completed in 2022 or before qualify to write the examination at a Centre of their choice.

Conducts of the Licensure Resit Examination

Under the new GTLE reform, three Papers will be written. Thus,

  • General Paper which will cover Literacy and Numeracy
  • Subject Base Paper which will test candidates on their Major learnt in University or College, and
  • Pedagogy Paper which test candidates on teaching methodology and teaching in general.

Related pedagogy and subject based papers will solely be objectives.

General paper will comprise essay and objectives, especially in the literacy aspect, candidates will have to express themselves.

How to do NTC Indexing for November Resit GTLE

  • Visit any Prudential Bank Branch nationwide or simply dial *772*51# and pay an amount of GHC50 as indexing fee.
  • After payment has been made successfully, you will receive an SMS which contains your indexing number. If you failed to receive the SMS, you can use the transaction number indicated on your payment receipt.
  • Visit https://indexing.ntc.gov.gh to verify and update your details.
  • You are required to keep your indexing number safe, since it will be used for GTLE registration.

2023 Teacher Licensure Examination Resit Date and Fees

Below are the fees prospective candidates are required to pay for registration and indexing.

  • Fresh candidates are required to pay GHC 450.00 to register for the examination.
  • Candidates have to pay an amount of GHC 50 for indexing
  • Registering One Paper as a resit candidate, you will pay an amount of GHC 150
  • Candidate registering for resit of two papers GHC 210
  • Re-sitting for three papers, candidates will pay an amount of GHC 385

How To Purchase NTC Teacher Licensure Examination E-voucher 

  • Payment can be made at any branch of Prudential Bank Ltd nationwide or with Mobile money Payment can be made through the shortcode *772*51# across all networks
  • For banking payment, candidates must notify the bank as fresh students, re-sitting one, two, or three papers.

How To Register For 2023 NTC Teacher Licensure Resit Examination 

  • Take the Pin and Serial No. from the Bank after payment.
  • Log onto exams.ntc.gov.gh
  • Enter your e-voucher Serial no. and Pin
  • Fill in all the fields and remember to upload your passport-size photograph
  • NOTE: NTC will not accept any request for a change of photograph after the examination.
  • Review the information provided and submit.
  • Print a Summary of the inputs made and examination regulations.

Again,  Candidates should keep their PIN and SERIAL NUMBERS secured after registration for the licensure examination for further use after the examination.

Date for the GTLE Resit 2023

The examination will written from the 16th to 17th November 2023.

Deadline for GTLE Resit Registration

All registration must be completed on or before 31st October 2023. There will not be extension of the deadline.
