The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform numerous public that it has released provisional results of 43,742 candidates who entered the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2023 – Second Series. Check how to check 2023 Nov/Dec results
The entry figure comprises 20,164 males and 23,578 females. Seventy-six (76) of the candidates had visual impairment while two (2) had a hearing impairment.
The results of 901 candidates alleged to have been involved in various cases of examination malpractice have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into the cases of malpractice.
These malpractices include bringing foreign materials and mobile phones into the examination hall, impersonation, conspiracy, and seeking external assistance among others.
The withheld results of candidates will be released or canceled based on the outcome of investigations. The results are available online at www.waecgh.org.

- Visit the WAEC Results Checker Online Portal using the link here
- Enter your index number
- Select the type of examination (thus, WASSCE Private)
- Select your examination year which is 2023
- Enter the Voucher Card Serial Number and PIN
- Confirm the index number and the year of examination
- Click submit and wait for the results to be displayed.
